Mixed Tree Dieta with Ayahuasca Retreat
Following our lineage, a traditional dieta we offer usually includes a blend of teacher plants dieted together. This often involves four to five different trees — such as Lupuna Blanca, Huaira Caspi, Remo Caspi, Cumaceba, Ayahuma, and Capirona — though the list is not limited to these. A single plant may also be dieted on its own, if requested. To see more information about the benefits of the dieta see video of Maestro Mario.
The dieta is a sacred container — a time to enter deeply into your process with the plants and commune with their spirits. It offers a rare opportunity to connect with your inner world, face and work through what arises, and quiet the mind from the noise of the outside world. In this stillness, you may hear the subtle guidance that is always present, cultivating openness and connection. For this reason, we discourage reading material that is not of a self-development or spiritual nature, and instead encourage journaling or sketching to record your process. We recommend listening to music without lyrics, or better still, to immerse yourself in the living symphony of the jungle.
Throughout the dieta, we incorporate breathing exercises and guided meditations to purify the mind and restore balance — practices that reconnect you to your true self, the place where intuition, peace, wholeness, and inner wisdom reside. Daily exercises are offered to support and deepen your journey.
We gather for meals, meditations, treatments, and ceremonies. While community and connection are important, time between these moments is meant for rest and reflection in your cabin. You may watch the wildlife from your balcony or take mindful walks on the land, allowing space to recharge, release stress, and move deeper into your process. You may also Immerse yourself in our stream, where waters born of the Amazon flow for purification, healing, and inner rebalancing.
Isolation Dietas
For those with prior dieta experience who wish to go even deeper into the work, there is the option to enter complete isolation once the dieta begins. In this mode, you will only attend ceremonies and treatments. All food and plant preparations are brought directly to your cabin, enabling you to remain in silence and solitude, fully immersed in your process.
Discipline and Commitment
To create the ideal energetic environment for the tree spirits to cleanse, teach, and guide you, certain rules must be followed during the dieta and for a period afterwards. These guidelines are not merely recommendations — they are essential for your safety, for receiving the fullest benefits, and for showing respect to the plants and the shaman you are working with.
Undertaking a dieta is a serious commitment. These trees are powerful teachers whose medicine requires dedication, discipline, and integrity. If you feel unable to follow the rules, it is best not to participate, as breaking them may cause adverse effects and disrupt your relationship with the plants.
Dieta Guidelines and Restrictions
During the dieta at the retreat:
- Meals are simple and clean, prepared without salt, sugar, oil, or condiments.
- All medications, including supplements, must be stopped. Exceptions may be made depending on your circumstances. A health questionnaire will be completed before booking, and some medications may be paused or gradually reduced under your doctor’s guidance for the retreat period.
- No cosmetics, soap, toothpaste, or insect repellent. Showers are permitted, but without soap. Teeth may be brushed with water and a brush, and flossed with unflavoured floss.
- No physical contact with others — no hugs, handshakes, or touching, except during healing work by the shaman or assistants.
- No sexual activity of any kind, including masturbation. Sexual energy should be retained and directed inward. Avoid flirting and wear modest clothing.
- No strenuous exercise. Gentle walks within the lodge grounds or light yoga are fine, but no sunbathing.
Continuing the dieta after the retreat (for 30 days):
- No sex or sexual activities (brief, non-sexual gestures such as a kiss on the cheek or a friendly hug are fine).
- No alcohol.
- No other plant medicines.
- No recreational drugs.
- No pork or duck.
- Minimize processed and sugary foods.
- If you normally take medication, it can be resumed after the retreat.
- If you normally take medication, it can be resumed after the retreat.
These restrictions protect the integrity of your connection with the plants, allowing their teachings and healing to continue integrating long after you leave.
Ayahuasca Ceremonies
There will be 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies held to complement the dieta. Each ceremony will be followed by a sharing circle, offering space for reflection and integration. You will also have the opportunity to speak privately with Maestro Mario about your process and treatment, allowing for personal guidance and deeper understanding of your experience.

This deeply cleansing treatment invites relaxation, grounding, and renewal.
