Each essence has been prepared with its own medicine song, an icaro. Icaros are a sacred form of communication between the shaman and the spirit world — sung to set the healing intention and call forth the tree’s medicine. Every essence is uniquely created by choosing particular qualities of the tree and inviting its spirit through the icaro.

Uchu Sanango is a small tree that produces white, fragrant flowers. The leaves can be prepared as a tea for treating headaches, intestinal worms, and nausea.
This tree is a sacred teacher plant and is used by shamans for its curative and spiritual qualities. It can be worked with as part of a shamanic dieta or as an admixture to Ayahuasca.
